Hello, my family and my friends. I am Richardson Etsitty. I am born for the Black Streak Wood people clan and Rock Gap Clan from my father. My grandfather, my mother’s father, clan is Deer Spring and my Nali’s, my father’s mother, clan is The Towering House people. I reside on the Navajo Nation of Lechee Rock, Arizona.
Thank you and I am very grateful from all around.
“I’ve lived on the Navajo Reservation my entire life, without electricity and running water. As I grew up exploring the canyons in my backyard with my siblings, horseback riding, hiking, herding livestock and finding new places to fill our time. There was never a worry from our parents as we were always close by, the land around us took care of us as we roamed free. As I grew up, I appreciated the beauty of the surrounding area.
“UPPER Antelope Canyon is just less than a 1/2 mile away, which Antelope Canyon is a popular location for VISITORS and a source of tourism business for our people of the LECHEE community. It has been accessible by tour SINCE 1983 by Pearl Y. Begay, my mom being a decedent of my Grandma (Shi’Masani in Diné Bizaad). It provided me with my first job when I was 8-9 years of age and been a Professional Guide as a Navajo tour guide in the Upper portion Of Antelope Canyon AREA. I appreciated the natural beauty of the canyon and with many stories told and was able to share that with guests from all around the world. Working in the canyon for many years helped patiently act of photography and sharing the stories of my DINE LAND.
As a Family company, we want our guest to experience our traditional navajo homes known as the Hogan. The Hogan has not only given us a place to call home but an opportunity to continue to better ourselves everytime we step into a traditional or modern Hogan. We sleep in the security of ourselves, our ancestors make us to be awaken in harmony and peace to glory life. I wish the same healing on others as I have experienced myself inside our traditional Hogan.
“This is a true once in a lifetime experience, beyond your wildest dreams.”
